Our equipment
Summer Season (May to October)
Service location: RécréOsisko shed, located at 191 Avenue du Lac, Rouyn-Noranda.
Available equipment :
- 16 adult bicycles (unisex), including 2 with child seats
- 8 children’s bicycles of various sizes, including 2 balance bikes*
- 1 tandem bike
- 7 electric bikes, including 3 for people with disabilities**
- Helmets and locks
- 4 kayaks (2 singles, 2 doubles)
- 3 four-person pedal boats (maximum of 700 lbs per pedal boat)
- 2 canoes
- Life jackets of various sizes (for children starting from 60 lbs)
Please note that the rental service for watercrafts depends on the condition of the lake. The presence of Eurasian watermilfoil in Lake Osisko sometimes forces us to suspend rentals, albeit against our will.
*For young children, we also have 2 trailers and 2 tag-alongs. Several accessories such as helmets and locks are also available.
**Note that electric bicycles are reserved for elderly individuals or those with specific conditions.
Winter Season (December to April)
Service location: Maison Dumulon basement, located at 191 Avenue du Lac, Rouyn-Noranda.
Available equipment :
- 35 pairs of snowshoes for adults
- 12 pairs of snowshoes for children
- 80 pairs of skates in all sizes for adults and children
- 3 pairs of ski-shoes (HOK skis)
- 4 pairs of walking poles
- 2 toboggans
- 2 snow scooters (Thanks to a partnership with ARLPHAT)
Loan Conditions
General Terms
- Be 18 years old or older
- Present a photo ID: health insurance card, driver’s license, passport, or student card
- The renter releases RécréOsisko and its representatives from any responsibility related to the use, functioning, or performance of the borrowed equipment, or for any other reason arising from borrowing the equipment. The renter also releases RécréOsisko and its representatives from any third-party claims for similar damages
- The renter acknowledges that outdoor activities carry certain risks. They have been informed of these risks and assume full responsibility for them
- The renter possesses the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to engage in the activity. They will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- The renter acknowledges that the rented equipment was provided in good condition and agrees to return it in the same condition, except for normal wear and tear
- The renter agrees to use the rented equipment and accessories with the utmost care and is fully responsible for any loss resulting from theft or other causes. They agree to bear the cost of repair or replacement of any lost or damaged equipment
- The renter agrees that part or all of their deposit may be withheld by RécréOsisko or its representatives if the equipment is returned late, lost, stolen, or damaged
- The renter agrees to notify the rental agent in writing and signed of any theft of borrowed equipment immediately after it occurs, providing details about the circumstances. They must also inform a police department within the same time frame
- The renter agrees not to consume, possess, or be under the influence of drugs, illicit substances, or medications (whether prescription or not) that could impair their ability to engage in the activities offered. Additionally, the renter confirms they are not under the influence of alcohol and agree to remain so for the duration of the activity
- No reservations are allowed except for community or school groups

Bicycles
- Youth aged 16 and 17 with a driver’s license can borrow 1 bike
- A deposit of $20 per bike is required for non-members
- A deposit of $40 per electric bike is required for non-members
- Free loan for up to 2 hours
- A fee of $5 per hour will apply if the bike is not returned on time, starting after the free rental period
- The renter agrees to pay for any additional time used beyond the free period
- The renter must wear a helmet when using electric bikes or oversized tire bikes, whether provided by the rental agent or personal. RécréOsisko strongly recommends wearing a helmet when using regular bikes, but the choice is up to the renter for regular bikes
Watercrafts
- Free loan for up to one hour
- A fee of $10 per hour will apply if the watercraft is not returned on time, starting after the free rental period
- Wearing a life jacket is mandatory
Snowshoes and skates
- Free loan with a refundable deposit of $5 per piece of equipment, $20 for snow scooters
- Free loan for up to 24 hours
- For rentals exceeding this period, a $5 fee per piece of equipment for each additional 24-hour period must be paid BEFORE taking the equipment
- No rental fees apply on closed days (Monday, holidays)
- Return the equipment in person to an employee at the Dumulon General Store during business hours
Becoming a Member
Any person 18 years or older who uses RécréOsisko’s services regularly or occasionally, or who is simply concerned with maintaining and developing such services in Rouyn-Noranda, can become a member. In support and to ensure the service’s continuity, the annual contribution is $20.
